If you ever wonderd how it is to be born in Sweden, this swede will tell you all about how it is to grow up in this northern country. She is listing her personal thoughts, good and bad. She actually moved away from Sweden. Probably because the weather, which is on the top of her list of bad things about growing up in Sweden.
I think we can all agree on that one. The winters are long, cold and dark. The sun barely comes out at all. In the north it really does not come out at all, they have complete darkness 24 hours a day. This could be the reason why swedes love to complain about everything, especially about the weather.

But – and it is a big BUT! The summers in Sweden is amazing, and the long winters make us appreciate it a lot more. As soon as the sun comes out all swedes put on a bikini and run out to catch it while they can. The days are long and bright and everyone is happy. And of course, the poor swedes in the north is now the once to envy, as they have the midnight sun. Which is exactly what it sounds like. The sun is up 24 hours a day, to make up for the complete darkness in wintertime.

Well, enough said about the weather. There are many great things about Sweden and swedes. In other parts of the world swedes could probably be seen as cold or not at all social. But this is not really the case. Swedes are very sweet and they will do everything to make you feel ‘at home’. You could get invited to almost any swedes home and they will tell you; ‘make yourself at home’.

Let’s watch the clip and see if you agree with her!
